Terri Newman LMT believes every journey is unique, and provieds a safe space for all bodies and identifications. We offer a safe, non-judgemental space for your nervous system to address old habits and patterns that no longer serve your journey. Patterns can accumulate in the tissues of the body and in the mind, leaving us feeling stuck. We will address those patterns together through Bodywork, Mindfulness, and Ayurvedic principals, to help you release them, making you more available for your life each day, as you live it.

Mindfulness is the practice of being fully aware of the current moment with curiosity and compassion, instead of conditioned judgements, attachments, or aversions.
Mindfulness helps us expand our awareness to include multiple realities, allowing us to be fully present for our life, instead of remaining contracted in our conditioned reality, and reacting to our experience from that basis. Conditioned reactions teach us to attach ourselves to things that come and go, and avoid things that also come and go, leaving us either wanting something, or trying to avoid something. Becoming curious about our experience and compassionate with ourselves and others gives us the space to open ourselves to our full experience, without the attachments and aversions. To steady ourselves as the waves of experience come in. When we try to avoid or chase the waves, we can get knocked over or feeling empty when the wave eventually passes, as everything does. When we face the waves, with curiosity and compassion, mindfulness helps us find our footing and, even though the waves still come, they don't continue to overwhelm us the same way anymore.
Ayurveda is the thousands of years old system of wellbeing that is the sister science to Yoga. Ayu means life and Veda means knowledge, so Ayurveda is the knowledge of life - what is good for life, and what is not good for life.
It is concerned with strengthening our ability to fully digest and process your life experiences, and the food you eat. It helps us understand our unique qualities, and how to balance them through diet and lifestyle, to stay well and at ease as we navigate life.
