My name is Terri Newman and I'm honored you have taken the time to visit me here online.
I am a licensed massage therapist specializing in craniosacral, lymphatic drainage therapy, and Ayurvedic massage techniques. As a human beling, I am a yogi, a student and practitioner of Ayurveda, and practitioner of mindfulness meditation.
I graduated as a Licensed Massage Therapist from Irene's Myomassology Institute in 2018. I traing in Ayurvedic therapies and fundamentals through BeAyurvedic Wellness Center in Farmington Hills directly following my graduation.
I completed my two year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification program through Sounds True, U of C Berkley Greater Good Science Center, and under the auspicious guidance of Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. Starting this program during the pandemic was pivotal to my growth as a person and practitioner of bodywork.
During that time, and as the result of my own healing path, I received an upper cervical adjustment and subsequent craniosacral therapy, that literally changed my life. So I began to study craniosacral through the Upledger Institute, under the mentorship of the amazing people at Essential Chiropractic in Ferndale.
While practicing this work I have noticed the need for lymphatic drainage in most of my clients, so I began my studies with the Chikly Institute for Lymphatic Draininge Therapy.
Coming into my own healing and wellness has been the most incredible journey I ever could have imagined - all the ups and downs included. It is my humble privilege to now be able to share these teachings and practices with others.
